A delicious and easy-to-make appetizer featuring halal sausages wrapped in puff pastry, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Instructions 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Dust a clean work surface lightly with flour and roll out the puff pastry sheet to ensure even thickness.
  • Cut the puff pastry into 12 equal strips, wide enough to wrap around the sausages.
  • Wrap each halal sausage with one strip of puff pastry, ensuring the edges slightly overlap. Pinch the ends to seal the pastry.
  • Place the wrapped sausages seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  • Brush the tops of the pastry with the beaten egg for a golden finish. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

You can substitute sesame seeds with poppy seeds or omit them entirely. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce for added flavor.
