Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Preheating your oven ensures the chicken cooks evenly.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. This simple step enhances the chicken's natural flavor.
  • Place the chicken in a baking dish and spread the pesto sauce evenly on top. The pesto will create a beautiful, flavorful crust on the chicken.
  • Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes over the chicken. Their sweetness will infuse into the chicken as it bakes.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the tomatoes. As it melts, it creates a gooey, delicious layer over the dish.

Cooking
