Ingredients

For the marinade

  • 1/4 cup honey (Use a good quality honey for deeper sweetness.)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (Freshly minced garlic adds a punch to the dish.)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (Opt for low-sodium if desired.)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (Use extra virgin for better flavor.)

For the main ingredients

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts (Look for fresh, skinless chicken. Pound if thick.)
  • for serving Rice or vegetables (Pre-cooked rice or steamed vegetables are recommended.)

Instructions 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Whisk until combined.
  • Coat the chicken breasts in the honey garlic mixture and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook the marinated chicken breasts for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  • Serve with rice or vegetables, drizzling any remaining sauce over the chicken.

Notes

Leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze cooked chicken for up to a month.
