A zesty and refreshing chicken salad that combines shredded chicken and crunchy dill pickles, perfect for family gatherings or a simple weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (Using rotisserie chicken can save time and add great flavor.)
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, diced (Opt for crunchy, fresh dill pickles for the best texture and taste.)
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced (Red onions add vibrant color and a nice kick.)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or mayonnaise (Greek yogurt offers a healthy option with a tangy taste; mayonnaise provides a creamy richness.)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (This adds a subtle zing that complements the pickles.)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (Fresh dill enhances the flavor, but dried can work in a pinch.)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste (Always season to ensure your salad is perfectly balanced.)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the diced dill pickles.
  • Add the diced red onion next.
  • Mix in the Greek yogurt or mayonnaise.
  • Stir in the Dijon mustard.
  • Toss in the fresh dill (or dried if that’s what you have).
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate for later use.

Notes
