A comforting dish combining juicy chicken, pasta, and a rich, creamy sauce, ideal for family dinners.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (Look for chicken that is plump and has a nice pink color.)
  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta (Choose your family’s favorite pasta shape.)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (I prefer unsalted for better control of seasoning.)
  • 1 cup heavy cream (Use high-quality cream for best results.)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced (Fresh garlic adds incredible depth of flavor.)
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning (Look for a blend that includes basil, oregano, and thyme.)
  • to taste salt and pepper (Essential for enhancing flavors.)

Instructions

Cooking the Pasta

  • Boil salted water in a large pot. Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Sautéing the Chicken

  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Cook for about 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let rest.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the heavy cream and stir until the sauce slightly thickens.

Combining

  • Slice the rested chicken into bite-sized pieces and return it to the skillet with the drained pasta.
  • Toss gently in the sauce until everything is well coated.

Serving

  • Plate generously and garnish with extra Italian seasoning or freshly grated Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Serve family-style right from the skillet for a special gathering experience. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days.
