A simple and delicious marinade that combines the sweetness of honey and savory soy sauce, perfect for family dinners or barbecues.

Ingredients

Marinade Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup honey (Try to use raw honey for the best flavor and health benefits.)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (Low-sodium soy sauce can be used to control the saltiness.)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (Can be substituted with sesame oil for a unique twist.)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (Fresh garlic elevates the flavor; adjust amount based on preferences.)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated (Fresh ginger adds warm, spicy kick; dry ginger powder can be used in a pinch.)
  • to taste salt and pepper (Be mindful as soy sauce is already salty.)

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs (Thighs are juicy and flavorful; chicken breasts can be used for a leaner option.)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and ensure they are well coated.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.

Cooking

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes
