Place the halal beef or chicken cocktail sausages (little smokies) into the crock pot.
In a medium bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, grape jelly, honey, and smoked paprika (if using). Stir well until smooth and fully combined.
Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the little smokies in the crock pot.
Cover the crock pot with its lid and set it to low heat. Cook for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally to ensure the sausages are evenly coated with the sauce.
Once fully heated through and the sauce is thickened, switch the crock pot to the warm setting if serving immediately or leave it on low heat until ready to serve.
Serve warm as an appetizer or snack, using toothpicks for easy serving.
Notes
For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sauce mixture. You can also substitute grape jelly with apricot preserves for a different flavor profile.
