A simple and delicious crock pot recipe featuring halal beef or chicken cocktail sausages coated in a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Place the halal beef or chicken cocktail sausages (little smokies) into the crock pot.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, grape jelly, honey, and smoked paprika (if using). Stir well until smooth and fully combined.
  • Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the little smokies in the crock pot.
  • Cover the crock pot with its lid and set it to low heat. Cook for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally to ensure the sausages are evenly coated with the sauce.
  • Once fully heated through and the sauce is thickened, switch the crock pot to the warm setting if serving immediately or leave it on low heat until ready to serve.
  • Serve warm as an appetizer or snack, using toothpicks for easy serving.

Notes

For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sauce mixture. You can also substitute grape jelly with apricot preserves for a different flavor profile.
